**New Car Sales Person, Ballarat, Melbourne, Full Time**

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Some sales experience (not necessarily in the automotive industry).
- Adequate administration skills.
- Current driver’s licence (applicable to types of vehicles being driven).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

**BASIC FUNCTIONS**:

- Act as the principal contact between the New Vehicle Sales Department and new vehicle customers.
- Provide customer satisfaction while meeting Dealership profit and sales objectives.
- Be familiar of the Company Targets and Commission Structure.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Effectively implement The Dealer Standards relevant to this position.
- At all times follow those directions set out in the GASMAK Induction and Safety Booklet.
- Be aware of current Privacy legislation and always adhere to Company’ Privacy Policies.
- Always wear your name badge.
- Maintain the dealership data entries in line with the dealership data integrity policy.

**Customer Satisfaction**
- a) Handle new vehicle customers in accordance with Dealership policy.
- b) Greet each customer promptly and courteously upon arrival.
- c) Conduct the delivery in accordance with Dealership guidelines.
- d) Work with the Mechanical Service Department to provide customers with the best possible treatment before, during and after the sale.

**Sales**
- a) Maintain average gross profit according to Dealership policy.
- b) Prospect for customers using mailers, the telephone, personal contacts, and referrals etc.
- c) Maintain dealer owner follow-up system that encourages repeat business and generates leads.
- d) Develop and maintain a record of all enquires (telephone, walk-in etc.) daily.
