**About the Company**

Davidson are currently working with a state government client who are seeking an experienced Principal Advisor.

**About the Role**

The Principal Advisor will focus on participating in a range of projects and coordination of project team work. Also provide policy advice on current strategic issues, programs and legislation pertaining to the non-state sector, including the preparation of submissions, briefings and responses to official correspondence with some data analysis.
- Lead or participate in a range of project teams and coordinate project team work.
- Provide high level policy advice on current strategic issues, programs and legislation pertaining to the non-state sector, including the preparation of submissions, briefings and responses to official correspondence.
- Contribute to program and policy research, review, analysis and development activities relevant to the non-state sector and support for students with disability.
- Contribute to the management of capital assistance programs, including budget monitoring and accountability matters.
- Administer funding programs for community organisations, including budget monitoring and accountability matters.
- Participate in and report on the development and validation of funding models and periodic and special reviews for:

- Recurrent grants;
- Grant disbursement methodologies;
- Capital assistance programs; and
- Community organisation grant programs.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key clients, contacts and organisations, other government agencies, and external bodies.

**Role fit**
- Demonstrated experience working on a range of projects and their life cycles.
- Experience in providing high level advice on current strategic issues, programs and legislation.
- High level of communication skills, both written and verbal as you will be working with a number of key stakeholders.
- Experience working with funding reports/grants.
- Experience working within Government will be an advantage.
