System Technician

As a Global Leader in material handling automation, Daifuku continues to experience rapid growth. We have an opportunity for a Electrical Technician to be part of our team responsible for maintaining and conducting preventative maintenance on our materials handling equipment and systems.

Working as part of a committed team, your responsibilities will include to
- Install and perform diagnostic tests on the material handling systems.
- Develop, implement and escalate electrical maintenance plans as appropriate to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions, faults, freight jams and breakdowns, as well as perform the necessary repairs to restore to full functionality.
- Diagnose fault and rectify communication issues associated with computer systems.
- Schedule assigned maintenance tasks using our onsite Computerised Maintenance Management System (MEX).
- Complete accurate and timely administration and record keeping in support of Materials Handling System activities
- Assist and support team technicians with operational duties for smooth handover of shifts.

**About you**

- Full, unrestricted A grade electrical license.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of the freight handling system.
- The ability to read and understand control logic schematics
- Experience with PLC fault-finding and ASibus controls essential.
- Prior experience working through preventative maintenence schedules.
- Ability to work a rotating shift.
- A safety-first approach.
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
