**About the Role**

The City of Ryde has an exciting opportunity for 3x experienced Customer Service professionals to join our Customer Service team:
2x Permanent Full-Time (37.5 hours per week working shifts rostered Mondays to Fridays between 8:30am to 5:30pm)

1x Temporary 6 month Part-Time (21 hours per week position on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays).

You will find the work of a Customer Service Officer in local government interesting and rewarding and you will have the support of a motivated and skilled team in learning our systems, processes and range of services we provide.

**About You**

Your enthusiasm, positive attitude, desire to learn and exceptional customer service skills set you apart. You are a team player who actively focuses on providing the best outcomes for your team and the wider business. You bring to this role previous experience in a customer service environment and have a highly skilled ability to deal effectively with a range of customers whilst ensuring that relevant policies and procedures are followed.

In addition, you will also have:

- Previous experience in a call centre or high volume customer interactive environment
- Experience dealing with customer enquiries in a "counter" or face to face situation
- High levels of reliability
- Adaptable approach to work and able to move easily between phone and face to face customer service situations
- Strong PC skills with demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Previous experience working in local or state government, or have an excellent understanding of the services provided by local Councils
