Chi Square Economics is partnering with a leading economics consultancy which is looking for junior, mid-level, and senior economists to join its growing economic advisory team in Australia. They have offices based in Melbourne and Sydney and are looking for passionate economists in the regulation space to work across various sectors which can include energy, water, TMT, transport, and finance.
If you’re an economist already in Australia, or keen to relocate there, this could be the perfect move for you.
**Role**
You will be a key member of the economics team working on predominantly microeconomics projects with a focus on regulation (energy, water, TMT, transport, and finance). You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of leading clients and colleagues in this space. You will also be part of an inclusive team that are experts in their field and motivated to remain the ‘go-to’ consultancy.
**To be eligible for this role, you must have**:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in economics, econometrics, or quantitative heavy degree
- Extensive experience in a regulator, consultancy, or industry specific sector
- Ability to work with models
- Experience using R, STATA and/or Python
- Ability to communicate and write presentations to the team and stakeholders
- Ability to win new clients (_senior levels only_)
- Right to work in Australia (please note, you will need to be in Melbourne or Sydney or open to relocate there)
- Sponsorship will be based on individual cases
