**About the role**

The Integrated Family Services Team leader is responsible in overseeing the day-to-day management of Family Services and to guide, coach, supervise and support case managers in the delivery of the services. The Team Leader will facilitate case managers to empower families to share their story their way through the implementation of culturally appropriate and trauma informed engagement, information gathering and planning processes.

The role will provide management and leadership and in ensuring case managers are familiar with and adhere to relevant VACCA policies and providing culturally safe support, guidance and mentoring to case managers.

**About You**
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
- A sound knowledge and understanding of issues, policies, legislation and practices in relation to child and family welfare and in particular, children in kinship care.
- A proven ability to develop, manage and lead a team and provide culturally appropriate, reflective supervision to direct reports.
- A demonstrated ability to mentor staff by providing them with relevant information, support, feedback about their work, and opportunities for professional development.
- Work in conjunction with the Program Manager to plan and implement the Integrated Family Services Framework whilst ensuring services are provided in accordance with the departmental standards, program requirements and Integrated Family Services practice guides and frameworks.
- Provide leadership, case direction and supervision to Integrated Family Service practitioners / senior practitioners to ensure the needs of children and their families are being met in accordance with their case plan.
- An ability to work effectively with Aboriginal organisations, government departments and community service organizations.
- Relevant qualification in social work, youth work, psychology or a related discipline and have at least three years’ experience in the child and family services system.
- **Requirement**: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a full Victorian Drivers Licence
