YMCA ReBuild is a commercial trade social enterprise that employs, teaches trade and employability skills and mentors disadvantaged young people with a particular emphasis on those who have entered or are at risk of entering the criminal justice system.

**About the Role**

The purpose of this role is be part of our quality service team as well as provide the opportunity of on the job mentoring and skill development for young people. Crew Members will principally be young ex-offenders and young people at risk of offending.

You will have the responsibility of delivering a quality commercial Trade service, specifically commercial landscaping and commercial construction to the customers as part of the Victorian Big Build and Major Projects. You will sign off all work completed by the crew. In our Commercial ReBuild program responsibilities will include:

- Organise, supervise and complete Major Projects autonomously
- Prepare customer quotes and inductions
- Deliver a quality service, including all relevant health and safety requirements
- Positive communication and interaction with customers and business partners
- Provide crew members with on the job skill development to support external theoretical training

**About You**

To be successful in this role you have three years’ experience in similar maintenance role, be highly motivated and passionate about providing opportunities to disadvantaged young people. You will have the ability to create and grow relationships between the business and community sectors. Working on high pace, high skill sites with increased demands. Other requirements include:

- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience in work with limited supervision
- Ability to read and implement construction plans
- Demonstrated administration duties for site using relevant systems.
- Experienced in structuring and managing staff on site workloads

**Knowledge and Experience**

Demonstrable experience/high level of proficiency and/or formal qualifications (eg: Trade skill certificate) in one or more of the following area’s:
Carpentry ; Building ; Cabinetry ; Painting ; Landscaping

**Mandatory Pre-Requisite Qualifications**
- Current and applicable driver’s** **license
- Current Working With Children’s Check
- Level 2 First Aid

**Desirable skills/qualifications include;**

Working at Heights, Plant licences including bobcat/skidsteer and EWP
