Logistics Specialist

This is your opportunity to contribute to the Science industry and 'indirectly' help save lives The primary focus of your new role will be to ensure that key logistic tasks are managed and performed within agreed operational, cost, service, and safety standards. Specifically, to liaise with internal customers, local stakeholders (Supply Chain and Customer Excellence), 3rd party suppliers and to ensure customer orders are prioritised and processed according to requirements.

**Who you are**:

- Experience in a Logistics or Supply Chain field, experience of a warehousing or transport environment would be preferred - 3PL experience an advantage.
- Strong process orientation, numeracy skills and ability to work with financial and operational data.
- Familiarity with operational planning & management practices - in a logistics setting
- Customer Service orientated with solutions focus, able to think on feet and craft solutions.
- Collaborative and builds rapport with various int/external stakeholders, a good communicator.
- Experience processing export documentation advantageous
- Underpinning your success will be your strong attention to detail skills and ability to problem solve.
- Strong computer skills - with good knowledge of Microsoft product and experience with ERP systems, such as SAP will be advantageous.
- Training / qualification in handling and transport of dangerous goods would be highly advantageous, otherwise training will be provided.
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or associated field would be advantageous.
