**Location/Division Specific Information**:
Located in an Australian capital city, preference Sydney, working across the Australia and New Zealand region
Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD), Electron Microscopy(EM)

What will you do?
The Sales Specialist is in charge of leading sales/account management activities for all assigned locations, defining and driving sales strategies and ensuring the achievement of bookings, revenue and business goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Own all sales account management responsibilities of specified Thermo Fisher Electron Microscope products to all sites
- Prospect for new business, qualify sales leads, and generate a strong opportunity funnel. Continually advance opportunities to close business.
- Develop territory business plan and update according to business and market changes. Provide accurate booking forecasts and reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Prepare and deliver exciting, compelling, and focused technical presentations.
- Understand all budget issues at each customer and take strategic action.
- Confirm all system configurations, specifications and acceptance conditions are appropriate for closing orders.
- Lead User Group activity by product as required.
- Work collaboratively with other commercial team members to share market feedback and ensure full value is provided to customers.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree in physical or life sciences, material sciences, or engineering
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**:
- Typically requires proven track record in sales / account management.
- Highly developed negotiation skills for customer interaction and closure of sales and other issues.
- Excellent communication, well developed interpersonal skills to a diverse audience is critical to the success of this position.
- Detailed problem solving by working with customers and account team.
- Presentation skills and crafting materials for presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Ability to work in good partnership within an account team.
- Ability to travel to customer sites and factory locally and internationally.
