We're looking for a fun and experienced Wholesale Manager to join our bright and friendly team. This is a part-time position (3-4 days per week) and will be based out of our office in Northcote, with flexible work hours available.

The Wholesale Sales Manager is responsible for:

- Maintaining a strategic vision for domestic & international wholesale markets in both online and bricks & mortar stores.
- The vision & strategy will be maintained & developed in alignment with the Halcyon Nights brand image.
- Co-ordinate domestic & international seasonal range sales through our digital channels and through trade events (both online & face to face).
- Manage day-to-day client orders / queries / relationships
- Assist in improving the commercial performance of the business by increasing sales volume within existing accounts and through prospecting new clients.
- Promoting Halcyon Nights baby wear & bedding, as a functional gifting solution for babies which is unique in its design, cultivates wonder & inspires creativity and play.
- Always offer friendly & outstanding customer service.

WHOLESALES MANAGER

Position description:
Establish and Implement a Vision
- Continue to review & refine our existing wholesale base for both online & bricks and mortar stores with a vision for future direction.
- Develop & implement a fresh and targeted wholesale plan for the business. The vision will include best boutique children’s, lifestyle & gifting stores. Museums, Art Galleries & top tourist destinations. It will be considered and inspired in order to enhance & further elevate the brand.
- Prospect new clients in line with this vision, for both international and domestic markets.
- Understand our competitors and be able to explore & communicate our point of difference.
- Research new ways to connect, prospect & communicate with new clients.
- Be an excellent communicator. You will be able to communicate your vision and strategy to the director & staff in the business. You will have solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Build & maintain excellent client relationships with all customer accounts no matter how big or small.

Manage the Wholesale Business
- Manage the representation of our stockists on our Website.
- Create & distribute informative sales documents to stores in order to share our brand story, product information and visual merchandising ideas. This will be created to assist stores in optimising sales.
- Assist with development & distribute seasonal marketing tools to clients such as
- photographs,
- logos and
- brand information
- EDM’s
- Make recommendations in the set-up of visual merchandising collateral such as ‘shelf talkers’, post cards etc. where required.
- Assist with Photoshoot concepts in order to get type of content that will best help you to optimise sales for the business.
- Co-ordinate seasonal range sales via digital (B2B) and trade events. Know & be responsible for your timelines.
- Assist in the research & creation of the trade fair stands when required.
- Be creative. Outside-of-the-box strategies will be required. Always fresh & clever.
- Liaise with trade fair officials in the preparation of trade fairs. Be organised and across timelines. Be responsible for checklists, safety procedures, freight & delivery times and all facets of the set up.
- Be organise & make sure you have market ready catalogues, order forms and other collateral in time, to assist in seasonal range sales (though not the creation of these items)
- Be responsible for and assist with the visual merchandising at trade events.
- Assist & be responsible for the trade fair set ups & pack downs when required.
- Assist in the preparation of rosters to ensure adequate staff levels.
- Ensure staff have adequate product knowledge.
- Book appointments for range showings where appropriate.
- Receive, manage and collate all client orders.
- Provide follow up and management of re-orders. This is ongoing.
- Manage the B2B ecommerce site. You will review & assist in creating product descriptions, checking stock availability. Manage pre orders on repeat stock, sell past zero, and plan future deliveries.
- Manage B2B ecommerce product layout to optimise sales and user experience.
- Educate business customers on ‘how to use’ our B2B ecommerce site & assist with problem shooting. Assist these customers with any questions.
- Set up new customers & invite them to the B2B site.
- Negotiate commercial terms with stores.
- Assist in the stand set up & pack down, visual merchandising & sales at Design Fair events. These are direct to market (non-trade) events.

Planning
- Forecast sales with the view to assist in future stock purchases budgets to ensure we have adequate stock to realise the sales plan.
