**About the Role**:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Managing the implementation of consistent, transparent and robust regulatory practice in accordance with the principles of good administrative decision making and the ECEC legislation.
- Making complex decisions and providing advice to senior management on regulatory issues while considering the legal and policy implications.
- Overseeing recommendations and decisions as well as providing high quality guidance and training to the team to ensure quality, defensibility and consistency.
- Anticipating risk, responding to issues and trends through data analysis to develop innovative solutions and drive operational planning, resource allocation and scheduling.
- Identifying opportunities to collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders and maintaining existing networks within the ECEC sector.
- Leading and managing operational policy strategies to promote continuous quality improvement in regulatory process and practice, ensuring alignment with the department's strategic direction.
- Providing high level documentation, including briefs, correspondence, and reports to support regulatory and executive decision making.
- Supervising and developing staff in line with contemporary human resource practices and policies and in accordance with s26(2) & (3) of the Public Service Act 2008.
