UX/UI Designer

**The Role**

We are seeking a **UX/UI Designer** with a passion and desire to create great new products with our clients.

**The purpose of the role is to**
- Collaborate with project teams to effectively plan out assigned activities/tasks to achieve defined goals. This will entail gathering user insights, researching, and evaluating user needs to deliver intuitive designs that provide an outstanding user experience.
- Plan and implement new designs and optimize existing user interfaces.
- Generate digital assets that combine creativity and awareness of design requirements.
- Conducts assigned activities/tasks following prescribed methods, seeking appropriate review and supervision to achieve appropriate quality.
- Co-ordinate and complete effective reviews of assigned tasks.
- Manage assigned activities/tasks and expectations of relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively and timely on the status of assigned activities.
- Adjust to meet goals and commitments made.

**Desired Skills and Experience**
- Prerequisites for this position include a university qualification in Visual Communication, Industrial Design or similar discipline, and a minimum of five years’ experience working in new product development, preferably in medical device.
- Ability to work on multiple projects, presenting design concepts, and consulting with your stakeholders on how to improve it.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design solutions and achieve business outcomes.
- Ability to stay current with technology and design tools.
- Can conduct user research and testing.
- Exceptional digital design UX/UI skills applicable on wireframes, websites and apps.
- Ability to organise and hold meetings on Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of an agile team.
- Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills.
- A demonstrated ability to carry out and/or manage user/stakeholder/market research, and an ability to understand, interpret and utilise results to produce great design.
- Proven product development skills and experience from concept right through to delivery
- Ability to communicate design approach from requirements through to execution
- Understanding of new product development under design controls as specified by a Quality Management System (ISO9001, ISO13485, GMP or similar)
- Computer Skills (required): Microsoft Office suite (inc Powerpoint & Project), Adobe Suite (Xd, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects. CAD software (preferably Solidworks and/or Creo/Pro-e).
