**About the Role**:

- Reporting to the chef in charge of the shift, you will support the day-to-day operation of the Waurn Ponds Estate kitchen team.
- You will be required to be available to work between 7 am-9 pm, including some weekends. You will be rostered Approx 20 hours per week
- Having some experience with food preparation and food service.

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- Good Organisational Skills
- Strong Communicator
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment

**Your key responsibilities will be**:

- Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen to our sanitation standards.
- Washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, sweeping, scrubbing and mopping of the floor.
- Putting away dishes, pots and pans and ensuring that all the dishes are adequately sanitized.
- Removal of hard rubbish and the removal of kitchen food waste into our closed-loop compost machine.
- Putting away pantry supplies and organising pantry shelves.
- Assist in food preparation.
- Effectively manage their work as directed by the chefs, to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the expected standards.
