**Quality Improvement Consultant - Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service**

- ** Contribute to the processes that guide OSP and Custodial FYMHS towards continuous improvement in all aspects of service planning, management and delivery.**
**Your new team**:
Orygen Specialist Program (OSP), is a program of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, that provides specialist mental health services for young people aged 15 to 25 (soon to be 12 to 25) and focuses on providing early intervention to young people with severe and complex mental illness.
- Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) provides specialist youth mental health care in youth justice custodial settings including the Parkville, Malmsbury and Cherry Creek sites.
**Your new role**:
This specialist role will support the leadership of Custodial FYMHS to coordinate the quality and accreditation processes under the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and other regulatory and reporting requirements as requested by the Department of Justice.
- In this role, you will also:
- Coordinate the development and implementation of a program of quality and performance improvement activities across OSP and Custodial FYMHS and monitor its ongoing effectiveness and relevance. The role will actively develop and promote the direction of quality improvement programs, create and manage policies and procedures and foster a culture of quality and safety with an emphasis on consumer and carer focused services and outcomes.
- Provide support and collaborate with the Senior Quality Improvement Consultant. This role will also work closely with the Clinical Quality and Safety Manager in order to achieve organisational quality and safety objectives across all clinical services. In addition, Orygen is in the midst of a transformation project and this position will be also assist with activities relating to this project.
- Work collaboratively and feel very supported by our experienced and skilled clinical & medical staff and engage with our key-stakeholders from youth justice (YJ) and other service providers (Primary Health and Youth Offending Programs)
- Be based across Parkville & Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precincts. As such, travel to the workplace destination can be included within the working hours.
**About You**:
- Relevant registration and qualifications (see position description for details)
- Knowledge of the youth justice and/or criminal justice system and other relevant settings is desirable.
