**About the Role**:
The Garden Rangers deliver quality visitor experiences, through the provision of basic site amenity and safety tasks, visitor assistance, and enforcement of the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium Act 1978 and Regulations 2021.
The role is required to contribute to maintenance of the garden and its visitor facilities as directed. The incumbent will need to be motivated and enthusiastic with outstanding customer service skills to deliver information in a confident and friendly manner to visitors to the botanic garden. The Garden Ranger is required to possess excellent organisational skills and deliver a high level of customer service.

**Contract**:
12 Month Contracts
**Desirable Qualifications**:
Certificate III in Horticulture (Trade Level Qualification)
**Special Conditions**:
- Will be required to work outside of normal working hours, including weeknights, on weekends, public holidays and any other duties as required.
- Will be required to participate on a roster system for duties associated with the role including on call and standby arrangements as required. A flexible approach to duty hours and taking of leave is essential.
- Organisational uniform is to be worn and maintained.
- The incumbent may be assigned to a position at another site dependent on organisational and individual requirements.
- May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
- Current class “C” driver’s licence, Senior First Aid and willingness and an ability to safely operate a 4wd and horticultural machinery is essential.
**Remuneration**:
GSE4, $37.13 min - $37.51 max per hour including a 25% leave loading in lieu of sick leave and annual leave.
