**About Us**:
At Kedron Heights Community Kindergarten, we have proudly delivered high quality, community focused early childhood education for 60 years.

Our one-unit centre is an Approved Kindergarten Program Provider, affiliated with Lady Gowrie QLD and provides education for two groups of kindergarten-aged children:
Group A - 5-day fortnight group operates Mon, Tues and alternate Wed with contact hours 8.40am to 2.50pm during school terms and

Group B - 4-day fortnight Thursday and Friday with contact hours 8.30am to 4.30pm during school terms

**About the role**:
A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate Teacher/Educational Leader to join our team in January 2024. This part-time role will deliver our Thursday/Friday 4-day fortnight group program (37.5hrs per fortnight). Additional paid non-contact time is provided during term for planning and Educational Leader responsibilities.

As Teacher you will provide a quality educational program supporting positive outcomes for each individual child. As Educational Leader, you will lead a culture of continuous improvement and empower staff to strive for best practice in learning, communication, and collective wellbeing.

**Successful applicants will possess**:
A completed bachelor’s degree in early childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification)

Experience in early years teaching and in holding an Educational Leader role

Ability to plan and implement a quality, educational and child centred program with a capability of meeting the needs of individual children and the group

A current registration with Queensland College of Teachers

A Valid Blue Card/Exemption Card and current first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis.

A current understanding of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, Early Years Learning Framework, and National Quality Framework.

Demonstrated communication and leadership skills including staff mentoring, performance appraisal and management

A desire to share creativity and enthusiasm with our community orientated and collaborative team

A commitment to ongoing professional learning and personal growth
