We are a creative and dynamic team, who design and manufacture women's sustainable fashion. We are currently on the look our for a new store manager to operate our Chapel St, South Yarra store.
**Job description for Retail Store Manager**:
A store manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively.
Tasks required in this role will be to manage a small team of part time or casual staff.
- Creating rosters for the week and balancing the budget against staff hours.
- Opening and closing the store, ensuring the safety and security of the product.
- Visual Merchandising: Ensuring that all items are presented perfectly in store.
- Operating our POS system. Entering new products and adding in customer details. Raising sales, product and historical reports via the POS system.
- An intimate knowledge of the product is required, and you will be required to teach and train the casual and part time staff on all new styles including the features and benefits of the product.
- Hiring of part time and casual staff. Writing ads and job descriptions and submitting these to various employment hubs, such as seek.
- Staff training on the following: Sales methods, POS, product knowledge, customer service, product handling
- Will be required to create in store marketing strategies and promotions in conjunction with the marketing team.
- Setting and meeting sales targets. Sale targets need to be divided into daily weekly and monthly goals with the staff encouraged to meet these daily.
- Reporting to the Retail operations manager, the GM and Directors.
In summary, duties include motivating sales teams, meeting sales targets, creating business/sales strategies, developing promotional material, training new staff.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 20-38 per week
**Salary**: $46,497.80 - $75,427.55 per year
