**The Role**
The Communication and Engagement Officer will play a key role in developing and implementing internal communication strategies across Security and Estate Group, including content development, website design and management, and associated broad level engagement.

You will work with a diverse array of stakeholders to establish and deliver communication solutions, ranging from single initiatives to larger scale programs of work. This will include developing and implementing communication plans, writing content, articulating contemporary and relevant communication solutions and website management to effectively communicate across our target audiences and drive business objectives.

Key aspects of the role will include:

- Developing and implementing effective internal communication plans and strategies
- Website design and management, site maintenance, promotion and measurement
- Identifying and implementing broader contemporary digital communication opportunities
- Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Communications, Change and Corporate Graphics (DCCCG) leads a diverse portfolio with enterprise wide reach. We develop communication materials, manage a range of communication channels, have accountability for the Defence brand and lead organisational change for significant digital transformation programs across the organisation.

Our Directorate has a customer-first, agile focus and thrives on working closely with teams across our organisation to deliver outcomes. Our Directorate portfolios include communications, organisational change management, corporate web publishing, graphic design and Defence branding.

The Internal Communication team is responsible for effectively managing the communication elements of our portfolio. This is inclusive of broad scale strategy development together with communication and engagement activities at both the operational and strategic levels. Specific areas of focus include communication and engagement approaches, stakeholder identification and relationship development, creation of innovative communication materials and artefacts and supporting a variety of communication campaigns.

You will be an experienced communication professional with the ability to demonstrate your exemplary written communication and website management skills, and attention to detail.

You will have the ability to engage with and build strong relationships at all levels across the enterprise to collect communication, website and engagement information and provide both strategic and operational level advice.

You will have demonstrated skills to effectively work with a variety of stakeholders, to plan, manage and implement communication programs that achieve our strategic objectives. You will need excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and corporate communication and website management experience with a focus on a customer centered approach. Your client service skills will be vital to this role as you will be required to provide sound advice and communicate organisational messaging to a diverse range of audience groups. You will have the ability to think strategically whilst also playing a hands-on role to deliver communication outputs.
