**About You**:
We have three new positions that have been created to provide recreation services to the broad range of stakeholders across the Sport and Recreation sector in Ballarat. Each officer will be responsible for providing services to designated sports, whether they be traditional and organised sports or services to emerging and less formally organised sports and passive recreational pursuits.

The successful applicants will have strong personal relationship development skills and an understanding of the sport and recreation sector. These roles will provide important advice to internal and external stakeholders and deliver essential services to the sporting sector.

**What will I do in my new role?**

You will be a key liaison for sport and recreation stakeholder groups by providing advice and guidance to these stakeholders. Your advice can range from; facility user groups, maintenance works, improvement works, asset management and a lot more. The role will Monitor and provide an annual report of facility use against the objectives of the “Change Our Games” equity guidelines. Develop appropriate communication in relation to unit activities to internal and external stakeholders on a timely and regular basis.

You will also Consider opportunities that would build capacity of club governance and operational effectiveness.

**Essential Experience / Attributes**:

- A tertiary qualification or diploma in the Recreation, Sport or a related field or a lesser formal qualification with relevant work skills and relevant experience in the field.
- Relevant qualification or experience and ability to work in accordance with our values and behaviours
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of sport and active recreation groups concurrently to achieve positive outcomes.
- Proven time management, administration and organisational skills.
- Well-established interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Ability to support and work with sport / recreation clubs and associations.
- Sound knowledge of the recreation industry and associated issues.
