The Legal team is dedicated in partnering with areas across THE ICONIC to assist in translating complex contracts data into actionable insights, identifying and mitigating legal risks through implementing leading-edge LegalTech and delivering operational efficiencies.

**About the role**

Reporting to the General Counsel, this role will undertake a variety of tasks surrounding Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance initiatives, and be a part of other transformational projects.
- Regularly file contracts, legal documents and general records management maintenance within the Legal team drive, and other record retention initiatives in parallel with the needs of the Legal team;
- Assist with the close-out of contract negotiations including issuing contracts for signature, follow-up for countersignature, filing of duly executed contracts and logging of contracts in team drive and/or contract management system as required;
- Work collaboratively to continuously improve contract management policies, procedures and best practice to ensure compliance with internal and parent company corporate governance requirements, and develop training materials, updates and communications that support good contract management governance.
- Assist in scope, design, test, implementation and maintenance of contract templates in the contract management system, and liaise with vendor and business stakeholders on training as required;
- Liaise with vendor and business stakeholders in the event of trouble shooting on the contract management system.
- Maintain various legal team trackers including trade marks, intellectual property, litigation and training trackers with key information as provided by the Legal team,

**What Success Looks like**
- Tertiary education in arts, commerce, law, business administration or related field
- Previous experience as Paralegal, Corporate Paralegal, Contracts Manager, Contracts Administrator, Legal Operations Professional, Legal Project Office Manager or related position
- Solid knowledge and understanding of contracts process, policies, systems and governance, with an interest in emerging issues in the legal and regulatory landscape
- Experience in designing and implementing new policies and processes, and effecting change across multiple stakeholder groups;
- Experience in using, maintaining or implementing a contracts management system, identifying opportunities to embrace new or existing systems and tools and/or managing legal transformation systems from inception to completion;
- Strong stakeholder management
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
