Head of Operations, PNG (Based in Port Moresby)

**How will I help?**

Based in Port Moresby, PNG, you will be responsible for the overall management of the bank's domestic and international operations and vendor management.

What are my key areas of focus?
- Provide oversight of end-to-end banking operations for the PNG business.
- Responsibility for corporate services and vendor management.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant business stakeholders in the PNG, Fiji and Australia offices, particularly with outsourced functions, to ensure efficient and effective execution of operational support.
- Proactive identification and communication, in consultation with the leadership team, of future emerging issues impacting the Westpac PNG business.
- Contribute to the strategic and operational performance of WPNG by contributing new ideas, initiatives, function wide improvements and knowledge sharing.
- Build a strong, performing team through continuous coaching and talent development initiatives.

**What do I need?**

Essentially, you will need to have a solid understanding of end-to-end banking operations with proven experience in a similar role. You will also have more than 6 years in a leadership role with some of that time spent contributing to technology and transformation initiatives.

In addition to core technical experience, you will have excellent attention to detail, strong problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to always work with professionalism and integrity. You will also have great leadership and coaching skills as well. As a key member of the Westpac PNG leadership team, you will contribute to strategy development, operational execution and the ongoing success and sustainability of the business.
