**Your day as an Analyst**

Your typical day-to-day work includes:

- advising Treasury and the broader Public Sector on understanding and implementing legislation; particularly Part 6 of the Government Sector Finance Act 2018
- analysing and providing advice on the financial and economic issues facing government agencies, business and the State, and particularly how they relate to the State’s liabilities and balance sheet, and
- providing general support to the Branch, under guidance, and advice to ALCO.
- supporting the team in the delivery of high-quality advice and analysis (both quantitative and qualitative), as well as other projects as they arise.

This role liaises extensively with other areas within Treasury, with NSW government agencies and equivalents in other jurisdictions across Australia, and with external stakeholders.

You will be successful in this role if you have
- broad analytical experience and the ability to interpret data to identify any trends or anomalies
- experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and the demonstrated ability to learn new software as required
- tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as law, finance or economics.
