Happy days support service

We are looking to immediately fill a permanent full-time position of Disabilities Services Officer.

The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to:

- Provide support, information and advice to NDIS participants with disabilities and evaluate and coordinate the services of welfare and community service agencies.
- Interviewing participants and assessing their needs and conditions
- Prepare, manage and implement the participant’s plan
- Liaise with and report as required to NDIS in relation to participants and their plans
- Provide direct assistance to NDIS participants and their families
- Provide NDIS advise to participant and families
- Connect the participant to services and funded support
- Assist participants to work towards their goals in their NDIS plan
- Ensure the participants' plan is implemented in accordance with the allocated budget
- Liaising with internal and external services to maximize participant outcomes
- Building capacity in individuals to manage their own supports
- Monitoring and reviewing plans and goals in consultation with participants
- Preparing submissions for funding and resources, and reports to government bodies and other agencies

We require the following:

- Diploma in a relevant field
- Must be available for weekends and overnights
- Possess at least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Possess following credentials:

- Blue card
- NDIS workers screening
- First aid and CPR
- Full open license
- Experience working with individuals living with complex behaviour and utilising PBSP
- Must be confident working with non verbal and high care participants including personal care

Desirable
- A female who meets the above criteria
- Experience with the system Flow logic
- Knowledge of the Gold Coast/Northern NSW area

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
