Cityview Farm is seeking a highly motivated Stud Hand to join our dedicated team. We operate as a thoroughbred breeding and spelling farm located in Gisborne South, Victoria, approximately 45 minutes from Melbourne CBD. Stud Hands are responsible for the routine care, welfare and handling of horses. Some other duties include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and maintaining stables, yards, and paddocks
- Daily feed run and making of feeds
- Holding horses for the veterinarian, farrier, dentist ect.
- Monitoring the well-being of bloodstock as well as identifying and reporting any injuries and other abnormalities back to manager or supervisor
The successful applicant is expected to have experience in the industry and will be required to work a 12 day fortnight (every second weekend off - with reduced hours on the weekends worked).
