We are looking for a **Superintendent Control Systems **to play a key role in empowering and leading a team to provide emergent control system engineering support to our mines and ports. You will provide technical leadership and guidance to your team, ensuring that sites are supported from an escalation and recovery perspective to the highest standards, and that all safety and quality protocols are followed.

This role is a great opportunity for a high calibre individual to join the Process Engineering and Major Hazards division to provide leadership and guidance to a 24/7 technically capable team working in the control room, providing both electrical and control system support to our operations-based teams, supporting defect elimination and executing continuous improvement work.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer Control Systems the accountabilities for this role include but are not limited to:

- Providing leadership guidance to the control system support shift team in the form of strategic direction, development (coaching, mentoring, upskilling), fair and consistent decision making
- Developing and sustaining a team culture underpinned by our values of care, courage and curiosity
- Assisting sites with prioritisation and resourcing of emergent control system engineering support
- Recovery planning and coordination for multi-shift downtime events
- Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders outside of the division
- Championing the MoC process for control systems changes across RTIO

**About you**

To be successful in this role, it is highly desirable that you have:

- A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, or related field is seen as desirable but not
- Proven experience in control systems field
- Experience in a maintenance and operational role
- Experience in leading teams, with a focus on inclusion and diversity
- Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills with ability to motivate and lead teams of technical professionals
- A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

**Where you’ll be working**

You will be Perth-based with opportunity to work flexibly from home combined with time in our Operations Centre. The team actively encourages and supports flexible work. This includes workdays, hours, and location, in addition to flexible and part-time work schedules. Occasional site travel will be required.
