About the role

The Health Promotion Officer position is responsible for the planning, evaluation and delivery of primary prevention projects across the Yarra Valley and Eastern Metropolitan Region. The Health Promotion officer reports to the Senior Health Promotion officer and works with a small team of fellow officers delivering on the strategies outlined in Eastern Health’s annual Health Promotion action plan.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess

A tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health, Social Sciences or another relevant Health or Human Services discipline.

Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of health promotion initiatives.

Strong understanding of the social model of health, the determinants of health and their impact on communities and populations.

Strong program planning skills and experience.

Good verbal communication skills and an ability to build strong working relationships and networks.
