**THE ROLE**

APLNG is one of the largest producer of coal seam gas (**CSG**) in Australia, supplying Queensland’s domestic gas market, as well as processing CSG into liquefied natural gas to meet growing export demand. This is a great opportunity to get involved in one of the most important projects for Origin.

The APLNG Assurance and Governance team are looking for an experienced Governance Analyst to join the Brisbane team on a 12 month contract.

The Governance Analyst is part of the APLNG Assurance and Governance team, reporting through to the APLNG CFO. The role will support all processes managed by this team and will be responsible for maintaining the Approvals database and support the APLNG executive and board approvals process, reviewing APLNG contract governance, coordinating questions and data requests between Operators, APLNG and Shareholders, recording approvals, coordinating the APLNG Committee meetings and providing other ad hoc support.

Your will be responsible for:

- Liaise with relevant stakeholders (both internal and external) on all approvals matters to provide an effective and timely process for APLNG executive and board approvals.
- Ensure strict compliance by the Shareholders and Operators with the APLNG processes, procedures, and Management Systems.
- Act as a point of contact for ad hoc requests from Shareholders, Operators and APLNG Management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external, to cooperate in the governance and approvals sector and improve planning and reporting of approvals.
- Ensure all approvals and relevant documentation is archived accurately within the relevant systems.
- Ensure adherence to the APLNG Contract Compliance process.
- Coordinating and reviewing APLNG Contract Governance for APLNG executive and APLNG board approvals.
- Maintain and update the APLNG approvals databases to provide both a forward view and respective view of all approval requests.
- Assisting with the development and execution of all regular Approvals Reporting.
- Act as an alternate for the Senior Governance Analyst.
- Assist with the coordination of the APLNG Committees, Board and Audit meetings.

You’ll need to have a commercial focus, responsive to customer needs and be able to operate effectively in a complex corporate environment.

You can show, through the work you’ve done:

- Strong communication, listening, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with all levels of management, external parties and internal customers
- Be customer focused with good business process knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment so as to be reactive and accurate in a timely manner
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements and willingness to explore and develop technological solutions
- Open attitude necessary to work in a multi-cultural environment
- High-level competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other common software packages

It would also be beneficial if you have or can demonstrate:

- 1-2 years of experience in a major project or resources industry (preferably oil and gas)
- Experience within joint venture business structure or governance, with understanding of the complexity of managing Shareholders and third party Operators
- Experience in generating and managing Power BI reports.
