**Position Information**:
Minto Public School is located in the south west Sydney Region of NSW with a current student enrolment of 250. The school culture is that of belonging and connectedness with the students, staff and parents working together to promote school excellence.

The school is a dynamic learning community with dedicated staff committed to a culture of continual improvement of learning outcomes through quality teaching practices and programs. The school, its students and their families benefit from positive, collaborative relationships. Our parent community highly values education and the school has a very committed and hardworking Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C).

Our school is supported by a strong multi-cultural community. 74% of our students have a language background other than English, and 164 require some level of EAL/D (English as an Additional Language or Dialect) support. 4% of students identify as Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander. Our students come from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary

1. Demonstrated capacity to balance exemplary classroom practice and fulfil the complex leadership and management roles of an Assistant Principal.

2. Evidence of outstanding collaborative skills to work as a part of a leadership team to support a positive school-wide culture of high expectations, explicit teaching practices and inquiry-based pedagogies.

3. Demonstrated ability to build strong relational trust and well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to motivate and engage all members of the school community.

4. Highly developed skills of inclusive education with an emphasis on student wellbeing, to ensure a strong, school-wide focus, providing all students with the knowledge, skills, and values for successful learning.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
