Australia Training and Qualification College (ATQ College, ATQC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated **Student Counsellor**to join their dynamic team. This full-time role will commence in four weeks, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being and success of our diverse students.

As a Student Counsellor, you will work closely with the Student Services team to provide confidential counselling support to students across various aspects of academic, personal, and career challenges. Your role will involve promoting health and well-being, helping students manage stress, and other emotional challenges, and supporting them in their academic journey.

The Student Counsellor will work collaboratively with the Director of Studies, Principal Executive Officer, and teaching staff, providing valuable guidance to students who may be struggling with their studies or facing personal difficulties that could affect their academic progress and attendance.

Australia Training and Qualification College (ATQ College, ATQC) is an independent Registered Training Organisation (RTO) primarily catering to international students enrolled in or seeking enrolment in vocational courses, ranging from Certificate III to Graduate Diploma programs. The college aims to engage students and staff in an innovative and enriching educational environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one counselling sessions to students, addressing academic, personal, and emotional challenges.
- Assist students in managing stress and other challenges affecting their academic performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to support student engagement, success, and emotional well-being.
- Conduct workshops and group sessions on study skills, time management, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with staff to identify at-risk students and provide tailored support.
- Ensure compliance with ESOS and other relevant regulations regarding international students.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions as per college policies.

**Key Requirements**:

- Proven experience in counselling or support (preferably in an educational setting).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to implement effective support strategies.
- Knowledge of the ESOS Act and international student visa regulations (highly desirable).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 1+ year of experience in a counselling or student support role preferred.
- A short statement or covering letter addressing the job requirements in the context of the role and the needs of Australia Training and Qualification College (ATQ College, ATQC).
- A CV/Resume outlining your employment history and professional learning relevant to this position.
- Contact details for two (2) work-related referees, including one from your current line manager.

**Remuneration**: At industry standards.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
