About the opportunity

Werribee Mercy Hospital has an exciting opportunity to an enthusiastic and motivated Health Information Services Clerk to join our friendly team. This role will provide guidance and support in the collection, use, and management of Health Information. The HIS Clerk will act as a key support to Werribee Mercy Hospital and Mercy Mental Health to ensure access to patient information. This may require travel to Mercy Mental Health
- Wyndham.- Preparing of paper documents relating to patient care.- Scanning of patient information to ensure timely availability for patient care.- Ordering of medical records from our offsite storage provider.- Answering calls and responding to requests for patient information.- Participating in quality assurance activities.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Experience working as a Health Information Services Clerk.- Thorough understanding of Health Information Services processes.- Strong technical skills including well developed knowledge of patient administration systems.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.- Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
