Carrie’s Place provides domestic and family violence and homelessness services to vulnerable people in the Maitland, Port Stephens, Cessnock and Hunter Valley regions. Carrie’s Place is a safe place for all and has helped change the lives for many, in their 40-year history.

**About the opportunity**
The team at Carrie’s Place is excited by the future and the many ways in which they can positively impact the lives of their clients. The Executive Officer role is an integral part of the sustainable change and growth of the organisation.

The Executive Officer will assist the CEO to provide high level support and advice to the CEO across a range of strategic, governance and policy matters. This will further enhance Carrie’s Place position for a future where we can continue to compete effectively for funding, become quality accredited and become an employer of choice to attract and retain the most talented employees. The Executive Officer will also manage Corporate Services and provide secretarial services to the CEO.

The role of Executive Officer will:

- Continue to develop and implement a business excellence program, encompassing fit for purpose policies, governance frameworks and records management to achieve quality standards and accreditation- Advise the CEO and Governance Committee on corporate governance principles and the implementation of governance programs and risk management frameworks- Ensure that Carrie’s Place compliance environment is of a sustainably high standard to build a strong reputation and attract funders- Work closely with the CEO to identify grant and funding opportunities that align with business strategy- Project manage grant submissions by allocating required tasks of other internal stakeholders and ensure timely collation of information in readiness for submission- Assist with implementation of successful grants awarded into Carries Place, focusing on ensuring compliance with reporting requirements to external stakeholders- Manage corporate services and administration team members, and provide secretarial and support services to the CEO and Governance Committee**About you**
We are seeking the expertise of an Executive Officer who can provide the organisation with the confidence that their exceptional skills and experience in creating and implementing governance and business excellence frameworks will make a difference.and be an extremely effective ‘wing person’ to the CEO at the same time Your prior experience in grant writing and grant management will be well received.
