Ink & Colour Technician

We are seeking an enthusiastic, honest & dedicated individual who will fit in with our growing team, and help us support our customer requirements, whilst maintaining the highest standard of service.
**Job tasks and responsibilities**
- colour management including the formulation and mixing of pigments and inks, preparation of materials and colour matching;
- use of x-rite spectrophotometer to measure delta E for QA/QC and development purposes;
- use of industry standard colour databases;
- collecting samples and conducting field and laboratory tests and analysis including measuring for tack, grind, strength & other physical properties;
- collating of information and measurements and preparation of reports both for internal and customer use. Performing routine mathematical calculations;
- controlling the quality and quantity of laboratory supplies by testing samples and monitoring usage;
- checking, calibrating and maintaining test equipment;
- on site trouble shooting for customers; and
- inventory and material management both for in-house and customer use.
**Skills and experience**
The applicant should have good communication skills and an eye for detail. They should be numerate and have experience with computers (PC & Mac) and Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications and experience as a laboratory technician would be well regarded, as would experience in printing inks, paints, or graphic arts.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
