**Your new company**

Working within a State Government Chief Executive office, a vacancy has arisen for a Parliament and Cabinet Officer to support a fast-paced team. Offering an initial short-term assignment, you will be based in the CBD and support the coordination of briefings between executives and ministers' offices.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Manager of Government Services, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating reporting processes within the Department related to briefings, estimates and other documentation. You will be responsible for:

- Coordinating parliamentary and cabinet documents via agency programs, systems and policy processes
- Motivating/mentoring staff and controlling allocated resources to deliver assigned requirements
- Providing high level analysis, research and expert advice as they relate to the Parliament and Cabinet desired outcomes
- Coordinating investigations and preparing reports on matters with time sensitivity
- Contributing to a high standard of customer service for internal and external clients

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous experience working in a parliamentary process support role
- High level writing skills with demonstrated experience delivering a range of written products
- Experience in supporting staff
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines in an operational context.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to form views, provide advice and make effective evidence-based regulatory decisions.
- Digital literacy skills to confidently learn and utilise the department’s systems.
