**POSITION**: Painter

**COMPANY**: Optimum Master Painting

**SALARY**: $70,000 per annum

**JOB OVERVIEW**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Preparation of Surfaces:

- Clean and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, patching, and priming.
- Identify and address potential problem areas, such as mold, water damage, or uneven surfaces.

Application of Paint:

- Utilize brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve desired effects.

Quality Assurance:

- Inspect finished work for defects and ensure adherence to company standards.
- Touch up any areas as necessary to achieve a flawless finish.

Safety and Cleanliness:

- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly at the end of each day.

Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with other team members, including project managers and other tradespeople, to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving processes and techniques.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents encouraged to apply.
- Minimum AQF Certificate III in painting.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a professional painter.
- Knowledge of different types and brands of paint, and when/how to use them.
- Familiarity with painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and ladders.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
