**About the OPPORTUNITY**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Piping Maintenance Supervisor to join our DCE project, based at SA- Osborne Naval Shipyard, reporting to the Piping DCE Piping Superintendent.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/ or hybrid working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify, participate in, and contribute to process, technical, and cost improvements while consulting relevant teams for implementation.
- Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, Environment (SHE), Quality, and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks and enhancing performance.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback while fostering collaboration.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee production activities to meet schedules, quality standards, and business objectives.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring smooth operations.
- Oversee budgets, cost targets, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of manpower and materials.
- Monitor, analyse, and report production performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving operational excellence.
- Improve processes, tooling, and work methods while ensuring compliance with governance requirements and operational frameworks.
- Provide a safe working environment, implement risk management systems, and lead by example in promoting SHE principles.
**About YOU**
- Recognised certificate III in Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing.
- Experience in supervision of small teams.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma continuous improvement.
- Experience in Materials Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes.
