**Structures Inspector**
- Work Tuesday to Friday from 7am to 4:30pm.

- An hourly rate of $47.7965 per hour (base rate) on a competitive Enterprise Agreement, and the use of a tool of trade vehicle for work purposes.

**About the role**

The Structures Inspector checks and reports on the condition of civil assets - bridges, Culverts, platforms, and tunnels, and ensures maintenance needs are identified on time.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections on civil assets to ensure they meet safety and rail standards.
- Write detailed reports on inspections, suggest maintenance priorities, and consider environmental and heritage issues.
- Advise management about civil assets and ensure inspections follow the Technical Maintenance Plan (TMP).
- Update the database with asset conditions and align updates with V Line’s risk management system.
- Respond to emergencies after hours and identify urgent actions to maintain structural integrity.
- This position operates on a Tuesday to Friday schedule from 7am to 4:30pm. Based out of the Ballarat depot. It involves occasionally traveling to various job sites across Victoria, requiring time away from home, overtime and different shifts will be required when necessary.

**About y**ou**
- Must Hold a Certificate 3 in Rail Infrastructure.
- A Current Victorian Driver's License
- Bridge Inspector Level 1 or 2 certification
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a trade certificate is highly regarded.
- Must be able to travel and work away from home regularly, with overtime, different shifts and call outs when required.
