As a Trainee, you will be able to earn while you learn. You will be supported with formal and practical training to achieve your qualifications in early childhood education. **The Centre**
Welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education South Yarra. Our programs are focused on play-based learning, and our spacious day care and child care centre provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged six weeks to six years of age, supporting them to discover the world in a safe and secure way.

Our South Yarra child care centre is just four kilometres from Melbourne CBD, and is conveniently situated for families living or working in the surrounding suburbs Prahran, Prahran East, Cremorne, Richmond and Toorak.

Our exciting, resource-rich early learning environments include:

Supported through a caring, dedicated team of University-qualified Teachers and Educators, our South Yarra day care and child care centre is an inclusive early childhood education environment for children where each child’s early learning journey is about being supported to be bold, creative, and curious in their learning journey.

We celebrate our culturally diverse team at our South Yarra early learning centre with a variety of events throughout the year, extending the children’s knowledge about the community around them.

**The Opportunity**
As a part of our Trainee program, you will gain on the job experience whilst studying. We pay for the course, and you will receive an hourly rate for all hours worked. Upon completing the Traineeship, you will be issued a nationally recognised Certificate III in Children's services.

The Centre Manager, your team members and the program assessor will provide you with regular support. You will also enjoy;
- Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families and fellow educators and the broader centre community
- Assisting in providing a safe and stimulating environment that meets the social, cultural, emotional, and educational needs of the children and families
- Preparing the children's play and learning materials for the day's activities. Then in collaboration with your peers, extend children's thinking and learning through intentional teaching strategies, inspiring environments and spontaneous play experiences.
