- Demonstrate exceptional public speaking skills with a genuine and captivating delivery.
- Possess the ability to read and connect with people, tailoring content to suit diverse audiences.
- Have flexible availability and dependability to adapt to guest schedules.
- Exhibit a genuine interest in Tasmanian and Australian history.
- Display competent PC and administrative skills.
- Showcase an ability to absorb, retain, and deliver an ever-expanding collection of stories.

Experience in the tourism sector or a guest-centric role would be advantageous. Storytellers often guide guests through Hobart, braving various weather conditions, so an enjoyment of physical activity and the outdoors is beneficial.

This role also involves working with educational groups and tours, requiring comfort and confidence in interacting with children. A Working with Vulnerable People Check is a prerequisite, or a willingness to obtain one.
