Cleaning Team Members are therefore highly valued and important part of the overall team.

Key responsibilities:

- Welcome and Assist Community Members: Welcome individuals to the shower facilities, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and informed about the available services. Provide necessary items such as shower tokens, towels, hygiene products, and personal care items.
- Supervise and Monitor Shower Facilities: Oversee the use of the shower area to ensure it is utilised safely and appropriately. Address any issues promptly and escalate concerns to the Volunteer Coordinator or Site Manager as needed.
- Maintain Cleanliness and Restock Supplies: After each use, reset the bathrooms by clearing, cleaning, and restocking them with the necessary supplies to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for the next user. This includes performing light cleaning tasks and managing rubbish removal when required.
- Coordinate with Partner Organisations: Work with partners, such as ‘Orange Sky,’ to facilitate the use of mobile laundry and drying facilities for community members, ensuring smooth coordination and access.
- Ensure Health and Safety: Adhere to and enforce all safety and health guidelines, ensuring a supportive and dignified environment for everyone using the facilities.
- Track and Manage Inventory: Monitor the stock of shower supplies and hygiene products, keeping accurate records and notifying the Volunteer Coordinator when restocking is needed.
- Provide Guidance and Support: Assist guests by answering questions, offering guidance through the shower process, and ensuring they have what they need for a comfortable experience.

Qualifications and skills (desired/required):

- Good communication skills Clear and respectful communication with guests, staff, and other volunteers and comfortable working with disadvantaged community members.
- Compassion and Patience: A friendly and non-judgmental attitude towards all community members.
- Dependability: Ability to commit to scheduled shifts and reliably perform assigned tasks.
- Attention to Detail in cleaning: Ability to notice when supplies are low or when additional cleaning is required.
- Physical Requirements: This position may require standing, walking, bending, and light lifting.

- As this role involves access to equipment and property, sometimes after office/centre hours, it may require a Police CheckPersonal information collected will be handled per our privacy and confidentiality policies.
