The Bolton Clarke Research Institute is our own research and innovation hub. It has forged a national and international reputation for high impact community health and aged care research. Our Research Institute identifies practical solutions to enable greater independence, quality of life and choice about healthcare options for our customers and the wider community.

**About the opportunity**

We are seeking a Research Officer to join our Research Institute with a focus on improving workforce capability and capacity in caring for people living with dementia. The overarching aim is to co-design an evidence-based multi-component for our nursing and care staff. The scope of work requires being able to think rationally and thoughtfully with the older person and engage with key stakeholders, including clients and aged care staff that are pinnacle to the project.

Key activities:

- Assist with the day-to-day coordination and administration of the project
- Manage research activities, milestones, manage data and report on findings
- Literature reviews, develop research protocol, recruit participants, prepare ethics submissions, and distribute publications
- Support a research culture by contributing to events and strategies which promote research
- Observe and uphold the research governance framework, code of conduct and research policies.

**We would love to hear from you if you have**
- Qualifications and demonstrated experience in gerontology (e.g. health sciences, nursing, public health, psychology).
- Understand the contemporary issues in aged care service delivery and clinical practice.
- Ability to manage time effectively and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
- Well-developed organisational and planning skills, with high attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and software programs
- Ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards
- Willingness to travel locally between aged care homes.
