**The Role**
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent this role will see you work as part of the Mining Team focused on optimising extraction of the Dargues Gold Mine resource through safe, efficient and cost-effective mining operations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensuring own Health & Safety as well as that of all other workers, identifying and maintaining safe work practices and completing all required safety training
- Proactively conduct Aurelia Critical Control Verifications/Safe Act Observations, Task Observations and Workplace Inspections
- Maintain accurate mining as-built data (development pickups and void models)
- Ensure that survey equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and serviced at required intervals
- Update as-built data to support the DGM quarterly emergency plans
- Work with the registered Mine Surveyor to ensure statutory compliance of survey activities at DGM
- Delivery of timely and accurate Survey Memo’s to support mine development activities
- Review of Mine Plan Approval (MPA) documents to ensure data is accurate and in a format that supports management of survey data
- Delivery of end of month reconciliations that provide timely and accurate data to support end of month reporting and accounting activities for DGM
- Delivery of budget strategies that ensure provision of fit for purpose survey equipment
- Conduct surveys of surface stockpiles and deliver data to Mining Operations team
- Conduct CMS scans of stope voids and provide timely and accurate data to support mine production decision making
- Conduct mark ups for production drill sites, raisebore sites and diamond drill sites as required to support Mine Operations team
- Conduct regular pickups of mine development and provide timely and accurate data to Mining Operations team and Technical Services team to support planning activities

**About You**
Drawing upon your prior underground mine surveying experience, you will have first class communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels in the organisation. This will be complimented by your Tertiary qualification in surveying or equivalent. Other desired skills and experience include:

- Experience in mine operations and surveying
- Capable user of Mine Survey equipment (CMS equipment, Leica total stations etc)
- Capable user of MS Office suite of programs
