**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a Electronic Technician to provide assistance and install, calibrate, troubleshoot and service equipment, control systems and hardware.

**Core objectives include**:

- to conduct component-level fault diagnosis, maintenance & retrofit repair on electronic components and products/ in consultation with the Production Manager.
- examining equipment and control systems
- installing electronic instruments and control systems
- adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and equipment
- reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment
- advising users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions
- receiving messages by interpreting code and converting to plain language, and writing and typing messages for transmission
- use a logical approach to solve technical problems
- inspects products for conformity and quality in line with established standards
- maintain reports and records
- work collaboratively with other technicians, technical employees and customers
- install hardware
- identify and resolve routine malfunctions
- conduct preventative maintenance and repair services
- review recently serviced equipment and ensure performance is appropriate

**Background checking** is a component of AIS Water’s recruitment process. This checking may include identity verification, reference checks, criminal background checks, verification of qualifications and medical checks.

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Electronic Instrument Trade work: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)
