**We are looking for an individual that shows leadership, is friendly and passionate about delivering the Belgravia Leisure - 5 Year Access & Inclusion Plan within the Banyule Community.**

**The Role**

We are seeking a part time Community Engagement & Inclusion Coordinator to work with our community. The position is 4 days per week permanent part time however for the right applicant 3 days Permanent Part Time will be considered.

The role will oversee the day to day implementation of the Belgravia Leisure - 5 Year Access & Inclusion Plan within the area and will be responsible for the implementation of programs and initiatives to promote accessibility and participation amongst those that have been marginalised from such opportunities.

Reporting directly to the Centre Manager, the primary focus of the role will be to:

- Identify, engage and collaborate with a network of key community members and groups that can assist in the implementation of programs within that aquatic venues that will enhance social capital;
- Through a robust research process, identify local community needs that may be enhanced by programs delivered within the aquatic venue’s disability, diversity and disadvantaged space;
- To collaborate with coordinators and other key stakeholder to develop programs that address the identified needs and emerging issues, and collect relevant information and data to evaluate and report the impact of community programs.
- Identify opportunities to ensure that established programs are, where possible, sustainable and self-sufficient.
- Develop highly professional reports on the actions and outcomes of the implemented program highlighting the benefit to the community

The delivery of a fundraising strategy for the Belgravia Foundation, with all funds providing programs, services and education that promote access to leisure.

The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for building meaningful and lasting relationships within Banyule to service and support community needs, including but not limited to:

- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) with attention to people of diverse faiths, those who experience language barriers, newly arrived people, in particular newly arrived migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, and international students
- People living on low and/or insufficient incomes to meet basic rights and needs, with attention to people living in public housing, families with young children and single parent families
- Homeless people and/or those in housing stress
- Children of all ages, with specific attention to the first thousand days (pregnancy to two years old)
- Young people, with attention to those who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, from CALD backgrounds, early school leavers, and those living in families with insufficient incomes and/or in neighbourhoods with limited infrastructure
- Older people, with attention to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples, from CALD backgrounds, and older people living in public housing, living alone or in neighbourhoods with limited infrastructure
- People with disability or mental illness
- Carers
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Gender Diverse, Intersex, Queer, Asexual and all other identities (LGBTIQA+)
- Socially, locally and technologically isolated people
- People at risk of exclusion due to reasons not listed above and which may include family violence, pay inequities, unemployment gender stereotypes, being single parents, divorced or widowed.

We will provide innovative recruitment strategies to remove any barriers that may prevent potential suitable applicants. These includes:
