**Start Strong Supported Playgroup Facilitator**
- Part Time - 30 hours per fortnight
- Contract until 30 June 2024
- Central Coast, NSW

**The Opportunity**:
We are currently looking for an energetic and experienced **Playgroup Facilitator **to join our Central Coast team on a Part Time, _Fixed Term (15 hours per week until 30 June 2024)_ basis, who will support in the organisation and delivery of Start Strong Playgroups aimed at ensuring parents have knowledge and understanding of the importance of early childhood education and care and opportunity to enroll in mainstream local services that will support children’s development and well-being. They will ensure high standards of care, education, hygiene and safety of children in the playgroup settings and refer to the Case Manager when families identify a need for more complex support.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- We are looking for someone with a demonstrated ability to work with children 0-8yrs and their families and experience in working with them in group situations.
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- sound understanding and demonstrated capacity to relate and provide inclusive support to parents, carers and children.
- Demonstrated ability to work self-directed, to plan, prioritise, organise and manage own workload and ability to use initiative using sound assessment and decision-making skills.

***About you?**
- Cert III, Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood
- Demonstrated ability to work with families and children 0-8 years old and experience in working in a group situation.
- Sound understanding of and demonstrated capacity to, provide support and relate to parents, children and extended family members who are experiencing social isolation and disadvantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills evidencing an ability to communicate effectively with parents, children and extended family members.
- Demonstrated ability to work self-directed, to plan, prioritise, organise and manage own workload and ability to use initiative using sound assessment and decision-making skills.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment Medical, NDIS Worker Check, Working with Children Check, and hold a valid NSW Driver’s Licence.
