About the RACGP
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is the voice of general practitioners (GPs) in our growing cities and throughout rural and remote Australia. For more than 60 years, we’ve supported the backbone of Australia’s health system by setting the standards for education and practice and advocating for better health and wellbeing for all Australians.

We foster the future of general practice through our profession-led, community-based training model for the Australian General Practice Training Program and other training pathways. We train GPs to deliver quality, whole-person care to patients across Australia, support their ongoing professional development and provide a point of connection for GPs serving communities in every corner of the country.

About you
As our Regional Medical Educator, you’ll have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with extensive exposure working as a GP in a General Practice environment and have experience or an interest in medical education. To thrive in this role, you’ll have:
experience in general practice performance assessment and education/training development as well as development of educational content for programs.
demonstrated high level of initiative, conceptual and analytical thinking, and high level of attention to detail.
highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
work effectively within a team environment and ability to work independently.

About the opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Regional Medical Educator, you’ll be contributing to the delivery of medical education at a regional level achieving the best outcomes for registrars and supervisors ensuring the delivery of a high-quality nationally consistent GP training program. In addition, you’ll:
provide workforce planning and recruitment
registrar support
registrar education
training site support
supervisor support and education
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and health training
