When it comes to delivering a brighter, smarter tomorrow, our Defence and Regional Security team is at the heart of the solution. Our team deliver complex planning, integrated infrastructure and built environment solutions for the Australian Department of Defence (ADF) and other Federal and regional security clients. We are excited to support the design of facilities and infrastructure to upgrade and strengthen ADF's estate to deliver sustainable, reliable and future proofed facilities that support the ADF's mission to defend Australia and its interests. These projects include some of the most complex capability projects in defence and involve the design and delivery of the facilities and spaces that will provide ADF with the facilities required to meet operational needs across Australia.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:
We’re experiencing a time of growth and as such we have an exciting opening for an experienced Principal Design Manager with extensive defence experience to pursue, win and deliver projects providing design management and project leadership across Jacobs. You’ll enjoy leading stakeholder user groups, driving design planning activities and coordinating and implementing design inputs to achieve high quality work. You will be client facing and provide overall corporate and technical leadership for complex design projects, supported by our deep pool of technical design and engineering expertise.
- Extensive experience in the delivery of Defence and Federal Government design projects that are compliant with all requirements of design quality system.
- A passion for delivering complex designs in the Defence and Federal Government sector and demonstrated experience working on large scale, multi-discipline projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively to provide innovative solutions to our clients most challenging problems, connect and nurture our technical resources and evolve a practice that is future ready and aligned with our regional growth strategy.
- A relevant tertiary degree (architecture or engineering) and the ability to hold and maintain a high-level security clearance, (NV1 minimum which Jacobs can assist you in obtaining however you must be an Australian citizen).
