Situational Incident Response Officer
**Date**:22 Feb 2024**Location**:Brisbane, QLD, AU, 4001**Company**:Ventia- We are opening an **expression of interest** to those who may be interested to be engaged as an **Situational Incidence Response Officer** on our Transurban contract. The role provides first response services to traffic incidents on various motorways and tunnels in Brisbane.
- You will be required to work a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts which are part of a rotating roster with both day and night work required (similar to emergency services rosters), approximately every 4 weeks you get 5 days off consecutively and accrue 5 weeks annual leave per year. Your shifts commence at Stretton, Murarrie and Bowen Hills.**Mandatory requirements (evidence to be supplied at pre offer checks)**

**What you will be doing**
- Work towards the safety of your team, commuters and other related parties whilst engaging in conflict resolution and managing critical incidents
- Ensure optimum safe lane availability and relay up-to-date information to the public, supervisors and the wider response team
- Operate and range of vehicles to assist with all aspects of civil maintenance (including rubbish removal, attenuator truck and tow trucks)
- Work closely with emergency services and as well as provide basic first aid and firefighting when required and safe to do so
- Emergency repair work for road network restoration and to return the roads to normal operational condition
