**About The Position**

Terra Mining are currently seeking a **Safety Advisor **with experience working at open pit mining projects to join our growing Safety team at our projects in the Kalgoorlie Region of Western Australia.

Duties include but not limited to:

- Responsible for supporting the delivery of advice, planning, support, and training of HSET activities to all site operations
- Assist with reports on a weekly and monthly basis
- Work collaboratively with site management to achieve HSET goals
- Advise and implement occupational HSET policies systems and procedures across the site
- Provide a high degree of standard in HSET operations work to the appropriate for systems, processes, and critical controls
- Risk assessments to identify suitable controls for that work, and follow-up verification for control effectiveness
- Coach and mentor site personnel in the use of risk assessment tools
- Maintain site HSE procedure and standards
- Complete inspections and audits as required

**What You Will Bring**
- Tertiary qualification in health and safety
- Tertiary qualifications in environmental studies (desirable).
- 1-2 years’ operating within HSET role at surface mining projects.
- Applied knowledge of relevant federal, state, and other regulatory requirements, as well-as industry standards and practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail with incident investigations.
- Able to work independently as well-as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with a strong inclination towards developing co-operative solutions.
- Experienced using MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project), SharePoint and Teams.
