The entity is seeking a full-time **Mechanical Engineering Technician** with a competitive salary of **AUD 70-80K** per annum plus superannuation, offering excellent opportunities for career progression, hands-on technical work, and involvement in innovative projects within a dynamic and supportive environment.

**Scope of the role**:

- Collaborate with senior technicians to assist in the design, development, and preparation of layouts and technical drawings for cleaning equipment and machinery, ensuring that designs meet operational efficiency and industry standards.
- Supervise the installation, assembly, and commissioning of new and modified cleaning machinery at various sites, ensuring proper setup and adherence to technical specifications.
- Provide technical expertise in the selection of tools, machinery, and cleaning products for commercial and industrial purposes, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Conduct field tests and inspections of new cleaning technologies and systems, analyzing performance data to recommend improvements or modifications.
- Assist in coordinating the implementation of upgrades and modifications to cleaning machinery, ensuring mínimal disruption to existing systems during integration.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues in cleaning equipment, recommending corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce operational downtime.
- Carry out regular maintenance inspections and performance assessments to ensure that all equipment complies with safety regulations and operational performance standards.
- Provide technical support to customers post-installation, resolving technical issues and providing maintenance advice. Develop maintenance schedules and manuals for long-term equipment reliability.
- Estimate material costs and labor for custom orders and large-scale cleaning equipment installations, ensuring accurate budget forecasts and resource management.
- Collect and evaluate equipment performance data, compiling reports to drive system improvements and operational enhancements.
- Ensure that all design, installation, and maintenance work complies with relevant industry regulations, including occupational health and safety standards, to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product design or manufacturing, ideally in the cleaning equipment or machinery industry.
- Experience in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components.
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D modelling software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Familiarity with materials engineering, fluid dynamics, and mechanical systems for industrial machinery.
- Experience with prototyping and product life-cycle management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, metal fabrication, and assembly.
- Understanding of sustainable product design principles.
