Reporting directly to the State Sales Manager, this role will suit a Sales professional who is able to engage and secure new business, while nurturing existing accounts with the aim of establishing ‘preferred supplier’ status.

Some of the key tasks include:

- Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer / prospective customer contact towards achieving agreed budgets.
- Maintain and develop relationships in order to maximise retention of existing customers.
- Respond to and follow up sales enquiries.
- Seek and secure new business through cold calling on potential customers.
- Assist with telephone enquiries from distributors and major clients.
- Cooperate with and assist other staff and participate in their activities when requested or required.
- At least 5 years’ experience in sales, capital equipment industry experience and mechanical aptitude or technical ability a bonus.
- Knowledge and experience with effective sales and marketing techniques, including use of Salesforce or similar.
- Experience in managing sales cycles from start (lead generation) to finish (account maintaining/upselling).
- Highly organised and comfortable with managing multiple projects and tasks to meet timelines in a high pressure environment.
- Ability to travel through the state as required
- Self-motivated with the ability work autonomously.
- Positive and driven attitude with enthusiasm and energy.
